#MeetCorroventa
The year was 2016 when Sebastian started at Corroventa through a staffing firm. He started with dedicating an entire year to building only the WS4 water separator. Then he started building adsorption machines. Today he plans and leads the production work as Team Leader at Corroventa in Bankeryd.
- My job is to plan, lead and distribute the work in production, and assemble myself. I plan the weekly production on Fridays or Monday mornings. I plan what and how much we are going to build and who is building what. The rest of the week I focus on supporting my colleagues if anyone needs help, assembling machines myself, following up the supply levels and adapting production to the existing conditions.
- Quick changes in our daily work: suddenly, there can be a giant order. I think everyone is on high alert when we get a really big order. You have to be on the alert all the time.
We are pretty close-knit at Corroventa. Everyone greets everyone, are treated equally, and everyone can talk to each other.
- I have two memories in particular, the first is when I was working at our customers’ sites to upgrade the software for our ventilation system VentoVind. It’s fun to see what the fixed installation looks like in reality, because they can differ.
My second memory is from the summer of 2016. We had an incredibly good year in terms of sales, and to be able to deliver, we had to all join forces. We were here on weekends, postponed vacations and worked long days. Everyone pulled through and we had a lot of fun even though we were tired afterwards. We saw each other almost every day, were treated free pizza and it was still a pretty relaxed atmosphere even though there was a lot to do. I always think it’s fun to have a goal to hunt.
A part of our production is testing our machines. Here, Sebastian is making sure that the adsorption dehumidifier A2 works correctly.
- I played a lot of soccer before family life. After high school, I got accepted to college in business law, but I thought it was a little too early to start studying right after high school and I already had jobs waiting. The original plan was to resume studying, but it never happened.
As a summer job, I previously worked at a mountain lodge in Åre, Sweden called Sylarnas. It’s like a hostel but far out in the mountains. I had a relative who was the Site Manager there, and so I got the opportunity to work there one summer vacation when I was 15/16 years old. So I took the night train, then the bus and then I walked the last bit on foot up to the mountain lodge, because there is no road up to there. The deliveries of goods came by helicopter. It was so cool to be there in the summer. You can’t get any closer to nature than that. I cleaned the rooms and helped with the breakfast buffet, and then I was off. I remember that I went on a summit hike – I took my ski boots with me in the backpack, and then I climbed up the summit and skied downhill.
